William Philipson is a film composer based in Wellington, New Zealand.
Philipson holds a BA, majoring in film and music, from Victoria University of Wellington. He is currently completing his Masters of Fine Arts in film scoring at Victoria University of Wellington.
Philipson’s credits include composing music for the award-winning art installation Kauhanga: Spatial Interface in 2015. The installation was awarded: Gold – Best Awards 2016. Student Ngā Aho category and Bronze – Best Awards 2016. Student Spatial category. Recently, he worked on the 2018 feature film Blue Moon under the composer Tane Upjohn-Beatson, working primary as a music editor.
